Annette grew up on a farm outside of Barooga before attending Latrobe University, Bendigo, graduating in 1991. She commenced her public accounting career with Richmond and Johansen and Vin Slater & Associates, both in Bendigo, before switching to company accounting in businesses including Hume & Iser Home Timber & Hardware (Bendigo) Recopak Machinery (Cobram – metal engineering) and Tocumwal Lions Community Hostel (Aged care – Tocumwal) as well as operating the family business, Norgate’s Plant Farm for several years. She commenced with the firm in 2012.

Mother of two amazing sons she has an active interest in photography, gardening, rock’n’roll dancing and participating in the annual tomato sauce competition at local shows and competing against her siblings.
